future-leader.com
Future-leader.com is a training initiative developed by Cafe-net [Christians Active in the Future of Europe], a mission support agency associated with Chawn Hill Christian Centre. The project operates in partnership with M3 Training, the organisation which employs Gerard and Chrissie Kelly and Julie Aston.
Future-leader.com/Origins
In the five years during which Café-net has engaged in research, involvement, training and consultation in the area of mission in contemporary Europe, it has become apparent to us:
a) That there is a widely-felt need, amongst those working in Christian mission and in the wider non-profit sector, for fresh thinking, new models and new skills. Many non-profit organisations are based on principles, traditions and founding ideals from a bygone age, and there is a felt-need for support and help in adapting to a new context.
b) That there is an urgent need for new initiatives in the development of young leaders.
c) That the non-profit sector, including faith-led agencies, has a unique contribution to make to contemporary European society, and will be a growing sector of the 21st century economy.
Future-Leader.com/Aims
Future-Leader.com has been established:
a) To offer high-quality training in Leadership and Future issues to those working in the non-profit sector in contemporary European society.
b) To enable European young people to fulfil their leadership potential, particularly in the area of service to the community: local and global.
c) To support and resource the leaders of existing organisations, primarily in the non-profit sector, in adapting their work to the emerging context of post-modern, post-Christian culture in Europe.
d) To support Church communities and Missions Agencies in their response to the contemporary European context.
