ABOUT USFDALHS was formed in 2001. We exist to raise money to purchase useful items for the Dudley Archives Service that are not provided by the Borough and to transcribe parish, census and other records.
We hold meetings at the Archives premises in Mount Pleasant Street, Coseley on the first Thursday of each month at 7.30 p.m. These meetings consist of talks on family and local history topics by visiting speakers.
Click on the event calendar for our 2008 programme of talks.
Membership of the Friends costs £9 per annum for which a quarterly newsletter is provided plus free admission to the talks. Non-members, who are always welcome to attend meetings as visitors are asked to pay £1.50

A recent acquisition has been a large volume of old photographs of great historical significance relating to the South Staffordshire Regiment and to Cannon Industries. The Archives is hoping to copy these photographs so that some time in the future copies may be made available for members of the public to purchase. Meanwhile the volume is available for viewing at the Archives.
