The History of Del-Teen in Hattiesburg, MS

Teen Delta was started in Hattiesburg, Ms in the year of  1995 by the Mu Nu Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta @ the University of Southern Mississippi.  It was advised for 7 years by DST soror Dr. Edna Thomas with the assisstance of her DST sisters. In 2002 it was then advised by soror Sametra Chilsom. With her advisement the name was then changed to Del-Teen. While under her supervision. 40 young ladies were composed in to the Fall 2002 line. The line consisted of 40 young ladies from the ages of 15-18. They were introduced to the public on December 6th, 2002 @ 9:30pm as the "40 Shining Stars." This organization teaches the importance of sisterhood and community service. While at the same time having fun with each other. While that being said I want to WELCOME you with lots of Love to the site of the Intellegnt, Classy, Educated, Lovable, Eunthsed, Talented, and TOO CUTE young ladies of Del-Teen. Enjoy yourself.
