Albion Sports
 | The club was founded in 1977-1978 by Baljit Singh and Harjit Singh Panesar. They joined the Bradford Amateur Sunday League and were champions of Division Four in their first season. A string of honours followed, including winning the Amateur Cup in 1978-1979 and the division one title in 1981-1982. They became Bradford Sunday Alliance Premier Division champions for the first time in 1995-1996 and also won the Bradford & District Sunday Cup in the same season. Albion’s greatest ever season was 1999-2000 which they kicked off in style by winning the British Asian Championship at Glasgow. They followed up by winning the Bradford Sunday Alliance premier division championship, West Riding County Cup and the Bradford Sunday Senior Cup. They were runners up in the Bradford & District Sunday Cup and became the first Bradford side ever to reach the final of the top national competition the FA Umbro Sunday Cup. They were defeated 1-0 by Hull side Prestige Brighams at Nottingham Forest but their great season was acknowledged when Kulwinder Sandhu was chosen as the Bradford Sunday Alliance League’s Manager of the Year. Albion retained their premier division title this year after a thrilling battle with East Bowling Unity. They topped 100 goals in league action and midfieldman Tariq Hussain passed the 50 mark during a campaign which saw him net hat-tricks in five successive matches. Albion also field a reserve side in division 1B. They finished in third place last season and just missed out on promotion. |
