Baildon Library Society
|Membership Information |
Baildon Library Society is currently without a Secretary and Treasurer and could do with some more Committee members. As a result, the Society has been suspended until 1st July in the hope that someone will come forward or that help will be forthcoming from the Library Service as the Society was first started and run by Librarians. In the event that nothing happens, the Society will be wound up (which would be a shame after thirty years) and the funds dipersed to charity. Anyone who would like to help is asked to give a name and contact number to staff at Baildon Library.
Meetings are held in Baildon Library, Hallcliffe, Baildon,(Telephone 01274 581425) usually on the last Monday of the month at 7.30pm.
Members join at the first Meeting - £5.00 p.a.
Visitors are very welcome - £1.00 per visit.
The Society has been going for over 30 years, with the stated aim of promoting understanding between the Library and the Local Community through talks.
The members are a friendly group of people who enjoy meeting to hear the talks and discussions on a wide-range of topics - and you don't have to be a member of the Library to join us!
See our PROGRAMME PAGE for details of this season's talks.
