What they said about Come And Sit With Us

“Well researched and readable, rattling along at a good dribbler’s pace, with enlivening personal quotes.”
Lincolnshire Life

“An excellent read - go out and buy one now if you haven't already! It's got lots of great anecdotes.”

Ken Fox, unofficial Boston United webmaster

“I really can't recommend the book enough, a real labour of love that has some really funny bits.”
Andy Butler, Boston United fan

“An excellent read. Difficult to put down.”
Martin Johnson, former Boston FC player

“It is a great account of the days when we used to ride around the Midland Counties League and the Northern Counties East League.”
Ron Abbott, former Boston FC programme editor

Excellent read! Enough evocation, local colour and football folklore and plenty I did not know to keep me at the pitch of interest.”
Mark Isaac, Boston United fan

Very informative and nicely-written.”
David Holmes, Boston Town fan

Simon has also written and recorded a Boston Town song called Our Name Is Boston Town.
The song pays tribute to many of the club’s best-loved players from the past four decades, including Bert Linnecor, Carl Smaller, John McPherson, Martin Johnson, Dave Scotney and Gary Bull.
