Researching your family history?

Have you ever wondered about your ancestors, where they lived, what kind of lifestyle they had, or why they came to Bradford? Then why not join our Society where there are just under 1000 members with similar interests. Since 1982, local members of the Society have met together, at least once a month, to discuss their research problems and successes, and have benefited from talks and visited local places of interest.
Over the years the Society has produced 'finding aids' to the 1841 - 1891 censuses for Bradford and has transcribed a number of church and cemetery records which are available in booklets, on microfiche and on CDs
The Society is a member of The Federation of Family History Societies and of The Yorkshire Group of Family History Societies, formerly The North East Group of Family History Societies, thus participating in furthering the interests of family historians.
Should you decide to join the Bradford Family History Society you will receive a free quarterly magazine, the Bod-Kin, your personal family research will benefit and you will also have the opportunity to assist in project work such as indexing records, transcribing documents or recording gravestones. In this way more and more family history records become widely available.
Further details about the Society, including publications, annual programme of events, membership application form, contact address, etc., are available on the Society's Internet site.
