Bradford (Park Avenue) A.F.C.

Bradford (Park Avenue) play in the Premier Division of the Unibond (Northern Premier) League after winning the championship of Division One by 10 clear points in season 2000-2001.

Having regained the status of the club when it ceased playing in the Northern Premier League in 1974, there are many attractive fixtures at the Horsfall Stadium:

- former league rivals Gateshead, Barrow, and Accrington Stanley...going further back Gainsborough Trinity also boast a Football League pedigree

- keen West Yorkshire derbies against Emley, Harrogate Town and Frickley

- renowned FA Cup fighters like Altrincham and Blyth Spartans

- the excitement of the FA Cup Sponsored by AXA and the FA Umbro Trophy

In the first season in the Unibond League Premier Division Bradford have achieved a final position in the top half of the table, and reached the final of the League's most prestigious cup competition, the Unibond Challenge Cup, only to lose on penalties.

Avenue won the Team of the Month Award twice during season 2001-2002, a feat also achieved by Burton Albion, Altrincham, and Accrington Stanley, whilst the remaining award went to Lancaster City.

Next season promises to be one of further consolidation in the quest to reach the Football Conference, to which the champions of the Unibond League Premier Division are promoted, subject to meeting ground and financial requirements. The club's ultimate aim is to progress from there and reclaim the place in the Football League lost in 1970.

Bradford Park Avenue Academy

Bradford (Park Avenue)Academy play in the Northern U19 Alliance League and are managed by the former Fields management team of Paul Larner, Barry Gallagher, and Bob Bingham.
The Academy side play their home fixtures at Horsfall Stadium on Sunday afternoons.
Although the Academy players train in their own group, manager Trevor Storton will introduce the youngsters to the senior squad as and when he feels they are ready to move up. The club hopes that some of the more promising players in the Academy side will go on to play in the first team.
