One of our deceased members was Peter O'Rourke who managed the Bradford City team that won the FA Cup in 1911. His team comprised 8 scots, 2 irishmen & 1 from Nottingham. Some current members are descendants of the great man & he is commemorated on the knights' memorial board.
Legend has it that Mrs O'Rourke sewed religious medals in the players shorts before the final ! |
