From Korea to West Yorkshire!
 | Dal Seong Taekwondo club (headed up by Lizzie Bennett and Rick Simpson) and neighbours from other Quest Taekwondo clubs hosted a Korean Demonstration team this week.
The team of children aged 7 - 14 were from Gung Po University, South Korea, and the students participated in 2 competitions held last weekend:
International Poomse (Technical) Competition - held at Westville House School, Ilkley - results TBC
International Kyorugi (Full-Contact Sparring) Competition - held at Hillsborough Leisure Centre, Sheffield - 3 Gold, 5 Silver and 7 Bronze achieved.
The children were accommodated by the families of students at local Taekwondo clubs headed up by the following instructors:
Lizzie Bennett - Bingley
Rick Simpson - Cullingworth
Dave Layton - Baildon
Glen Warne - Shipley

Returning the favour
The Koreans will return the favour in summer 2007 when students of the above clubs visit Korea and compete internationally.
The Korean team also trained with our clubs in Cullingworth (Village Hall), Silsden (Hothfield School) and Bingley (Club M).

Outside of Training
During their time in the UK we decided to show them what English culture is all about.
We took them to visit Old Trafford (as their hero Ji-Sung Park plays for them), St Leonard's Farm, the National Museum of Photography (Bradford), bowling etc.
