Introduction
In short, Taekwondo is the Korean Martial Art of self-defence and fitness. Training sessions can be categorised as:
Traditional - where students would practice traditional Taekwondo, including Poomse (Patterns / Forms), Kyupka (Destruction - breaking) and controlled sparring.
Technical - focusing on skill.
Fitness - ensuring that all students improve both physical fitness and flexibility.
Self Defence - students will learn techniques and tactics to use to defend themselves outside the dojang (training venue).
Competition - focusing on the sparring side of Taekwondo, especially when sparring events are coming up. |  |
