Welcome to Effective Support Services The Effective Support Service is a fresh support service for local communities and young people within the Kirklees, Calderdale and Bradford council areas. We operate the service with those accessing the service involved and consulted on how the service should and will operate at all stages of our development this is done by having a community advisory panel, children and young peoples focus groups which make further decisions on how to involve those that we serve. We are still at an early stage of development, however we developing as an organisation rapidly with two divisional offices in Bradford and the Huddersfield areas. The services aim is to promote support and advisory services, and the rights of its local communities this has to be done by working in partnership and alongside other agencies and organisations. We do offer some services directly and other services indirectly by working through and with other organisations. We are currently recruiting volunteers to work for the organisation to view placements we have available click the link at the top of the page for recruitment. We have a telephone service that’s automated and in operation 24 hours a day 365 days a year you can use this service to get in contact with our staff, find out information or leave a message and we will aim to return your call within 2 working days. Please remember we are not an advice service directly if you would like advise and support and are aged 13 – 19 contact Connexions Direct on 080 800 13 2 19 open 8am till 2am 365 days a year or if you don’t fit this age gap or Connexions is closed you could contact your local Samaritans service, the numbers for the services can be found in a local phone book.
