FIELD PACKAGING CHILDRENS COMMITTEE
Who we are:
The Field Packaging Children's Committee was established in June 1998 to deal with the many requests from the public for contributions towards charities and good causes.
We support groups & individuals, especially relating to children, from the areas where our workforce live as it is important for us to be involved with and support the local community.
Who we have supported:
Last year, we supported Candlelighters who fight against children's cancer. They have a unit at St James' and have also been supported by Bradford's Lord Mayors Appeal. We also donated a CD stereo to Clayton C of E Primary School, a hoist to John Jameson's School & collected a large number of Christmas presents for Gingerbread.
This year we are hoping to raise £24,000 to purchase an incubator for the Neo-natal Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
How do we raise funds:
Throughout the year, we hold several fund raising events. In Jan 2003, we held our own 'Stars in their Eyes' evening won by Marti Pellow (aka Field's Quality Manager). More recently, the Glen Singers performed ‘Songs from the Shows’ in March and the Family Fun Day in June was a huge success and will be repeated next year.
