Dear Sir
having read your site, which confirms your good practice of supporting local causes, i wonder if the Rotary Club of Bradford would consider making a donation to The Isis Project (www.isisproject.co.uk) as our funding is not secure at the moment. We are desperately seeking funding to redecorate and refurnish our lounge, where in house activities and training for women experiencing mental distress (and their children) take place. Could you please contact me at the Isis Project to discuss this matter further.
many thanks

“I encourage you in your Rotary work. We are better men when we return from our meetings. Rotary stands for high ideals, with its men always attaining to the better. It is quite essential for the men of today to enjoy fellowship with his kind. Rotary provides that opportunity and also enables men to rub shoulders, to get that understanding of his fellows in the course of our business. Rotary offers substantial advantages to himself and in its contacts with others in opportunity for doing useful service.”

1in 4 women will experience domestic violence in the course of their lifetime. 120 women are killed each year in the UK by a current or former partner.
White Ribbon Campaign aims to get men never to commit, condone or remain silent about violence to women through educational programmes and campaigns.
As a national campaign based in Hebden Bridge I wondered whether Todmorden Rotary would be interested in a speaker from White Ribbon Campaign UK

Dear Rotarians from RC Bradford,
I have recently returned home to India after spending a most wonderful three months at the University of Bradford. I really loved your city and hav also learned to call it "my" city. Though I would have loved to meet your members during my stay, I was too caught up with my academic commitments. However, I still look forward to remaining in touch with Bradford through correspondence with your club and hopefully, sometime we will be in a position to do a project together.

“Rotary does God’s work. Rotary is engaged in the most important, most significant work on earth. Every second of the day, we help the lame to walk, the blind to see, the deaf to hear; we clothe the naked, feed the hungry, and heal the sick. We bring hope. I believe it is Rotary’s destiny to become the most important nonprofit, nongovernmental, nonreligious organization in all the world’s history. Our vision of a world fellowship remains clear and undimmed. Ours is a vision that is desperately needed today. There is an urgency in our meeting, and to our calling to service as Rotarians. I see the day when peoples everywhere will recognize the Rotary wheel as the hope, help and life of MANKIND.”
