I Believe, I receive
Greetings
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Together in Christ we can build up our faith so that we may increase our faith and believe for the promises of God, Amen. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Jesus said. Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask for when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. There is one thing we need to know and that is we must ask according to God's will.
1John 5:14; 15 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we, have asked of Him.
2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are YES, and in Him Amen, to the Glory of God through us.
We alway's need to go to the word, and find the promise's that covers, any situation you may be praying about. Write the promise down and meditate on it until, as Psalm 112:7 say's... your heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. Remember faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, we need to call those things into being and believe by faith that we have them.
We need to constantly remind ourselves that all the promises of God are YES in Christ. Our response to that should be then so be it, Amen.
Faith like Abraham
Abraham began to call things that were not as though they were, beginning with his and Sarah names. No longer were they Abram, which meant "Father of height" and Sarai, which meant "Princes". Now they became Abraham and Sarah, "Father of many" and Mother of Nations". God instructed Abram to change his and sarai's names. Imagine how their friends and neighbours must have reacted. I'm sure they laughed at them and ridiculed them, but Abraham and Sarah went with God's wisdom and promises (Isaac). Their life experience told them the situation was impossible, Common sense told them it was impossible. But Abraham knew that what was impossible with man was ordinary with God! He began to call himself what he was not. He was not the Father of many so he stated calling himself the Father of many, Sarah was not the Mother of Nations, and so began calling her Mother of Nations. We need to do the same for our situations if we are to receive those promises we are praying for. We may have thoughts contrary to God's word and His, promises .
2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. In other words believe, don't be like doubting Thomas who needed to see before he would believe.
James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind, for let that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double- minded man, unstable in all is ways. Abraham chooses to believe what God said about him and sarah despite evidence in the natural world, they had a promise-so shall your seed be - just as we have promises. They decided to believe and began to call themselves what God said they were, find out what God say's about you, for we must do the same for God's miricles to work in our lives. Abraham was focused on God's promise. He believed against hope. how he was able to continue to believe when from is physical condition ( age ) he had no reason to believe. But guess what, that's right Abraham had a promise from God.
He was an ordinary man who did some very ordinary things that caused God to release super natural power into his life. Abraham came from a pagan background, worshipping the moon, He had to learn to serve God on a daily basis.
He made mistakes-he tried the concubine Hagar and had a son called Ishmael but that only brought strife into his household .
Common sense
Said they would never have a child Sarah was barren
Experience
If God wanted them to have a child he could have done it when they were in there twenties, thirties, or even there forties but not there nineties-experience proves that.
Nature
Said it was impossible for them to have a child they were both past childbearing years. From every human perspective it was impossible for them to have a child. But Abraham had God's promise that his descendants would be numerous as the stars of the heaven and the sands of the sea.
God caused the sun to stand still, he split the Red sea, He brought water out of rocks and he caused bread to fall from heaven. Abraham did not see any of these earlier miricles happen, yet he stood with a promise from God.
Romans 4: 19-21
Without weakening in faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead-since he was about 100 yrs old and Sarah's womb was also dead, yet he did not waiver through unbelief regarding the promise of God. But he was strengthened in his faith and gave Glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. Amen
Praise confessions
God changed Abraham's name so that everyone who called him said "Father of many" he called himself "Father of many" Sarah called him the "Father of many".
We must change our names and what we say about ourselves, not from james or julie but from:
Sick - Well
Poor - Rich
Weak - Strong
Confusion - Wisdom
Torment - Peace
We will then begin to focus on our new likeness and to act on our new name.
When we focus on Peace we will begin to feel peaceful.
Learn to walk with God- through heartache, trial, hardship, Abraham tested God's promises. Abraham believed that God was able to do what he promised. Can you believe what he is able to do for you.
The Power of a Promise
God's power, which causes miricles to happen, is activated according to a promise that someone is believeing for, if no one is believing then no one will be recieving. The catalyst is our believing and what is believeing, It's a decision or choice.
Whatever you do or say that is where your faith is for believeing.
with Love
In Christ
