The story so far -
Many men insist on remaining 'hard' in the face of anxiety, depression or other mental health problems, and seem far less keen than women to seek professional help. Yet the stress of 'holding it all in' may only add to the stress that set it all off in the first place and make things worse, sometimes with tragic consequences. (Suicides among males are three times higher than those among females - higher still in the 16 - 25 age bracket.) If you're struggling with a mental or emotional health problem, go to your GP, access a support/self help group, or talk it through. It's not 'weak' to ask for help. It's just good sense.
