ATLANTIC 75

The twin 70hp outboard motors make the Atlantic 75 one of the fastest lifeboat in the RNLI fleet. She is highly manoevrable which enables her to assist casualties close to the rocks or in shallow conditions as well as offshore. She can be launched from a variety of special carriages, slipways and davits. OVERALL LENGTH: 24ft (7.3m) OVERALL WIDTH: 8ft 8in (2.64m) SPEED: 34 knots In event of capsize, the boat can be righted with the aid of an inflatable bag which is fitted to the roll bar. The engines are waterproofed so that on righting they can be started immediately & the boat can then carry on with the rescue. the boat also carries a comprehensive first aid kit and equipment including ENTINOX pain relief gas and OXYGEN ,inflatable splints for treating broken bones as well as suvival blankets and bags ,survivors are also fitted with lifejackets when recovered from the water.
