Have you always considered yourself to be a good or safe driver?
Would you like to learn how to drive fast, safely and still be within the speed limit and the law?
Do you want to be able to improve your journey time and reduce your fuel cost?
Then the
High Wycombe Group of Advanced Motorists is the place for you. Come and learn the Institute of Advanced Motorists way of driving and then be tested by a grade 1 serving police driver.
The IAM is the largest UK road safety organisation with 100,000 current paid up members. The Institute was set up for drivers to improve and update their driving skills to match modern driving conditions. The benefit of this was realised after a report in 1954 which showed that accident rates fell within the met police after advanced driver training.
The IAM is not just a driving test, but a collection of motoring enthusiasts in groups throughout the UK, who volunteer to help new associates pass the test through observation drives. The IAM is not just limited to cars, but motorcycles and commercial vehicles as well. There are also club evenings and outings to suit all ages and interests. The High Wycombe Group meet every quarter, currently at the White Hart pub in Beaconsfield, where we have a varied programme of interests for all, from presentations from motor manufacturers to questions you always wanted to ask a magistrate, but were afraid to ask.
Come along one evening and talk to our enthusiastic team about reaping the benefits of being an IAM member which include discounts with a range of motoring organisations that can make your motoring cheaper. Alternatively, look on the IAM website.
