What do you know about Islam?

Welcome to the Wycombe Islamic Society (WISe) website. If you want to learn about Islam and Muslims, then here's a good starting point.

We hope to provide clear and accurate information about Islaam, the fastest growing religion in the world. Over a billion people from all races, nationalities and cultures across the globe are Muslims.

Muslims believe in the One, Unique, Incomparable, Merciful God, Allah, who is the Creator of the universe and all that it contains. Allah has placed men and women on the earth to test whether they remember their Creator and worship Him alone as their Lord. Thankfully, God has not left us to wander around aimlessly but has been sending Messengers like Prophets Abraham, Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them all) to remind mankind about their duty to their Lord. God's final message to the world was sent via Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wa salam [s.a.w.]) and is recorded in the Quran, which contains only the words of Allah, the Almighty. The sayings of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) are recorded separately in collections of hadith. These are the principal sources for the beliefs and practices of Muslims. They deal with all the subjects that concern us as human beings - our relationship with god, with people and the environment. The best way to learn about Islam is to go to knowledgable Muslims who take their teachings from the Quran and hadith. They will hopefully be able to clear up any misconceptions and answer any questions that you have.

Do you have any burning questions on day to day Islamic issues? Then have your questions answered by Muslim scholars by visiting the islam-qa.com website.
