TICKET TO CHANCES OF A LIFE TIME..
 | You can join as a Cadet any time after you reach 13. Three months later, after some basic training, you can fly in RAF Aircraft, go Adventurous training, win sports colours and spend weeks away visiting RAF Bases. As you gain experience and prove yourself, you can earn the chance to help organise squadron activities and take on responsibilities. Most people think flying means going on holiday. They never take control of an aircraft themselves. Cadets can do that on their first flight. The pilot will taxi out, take off, find clear airspace. then they will let you have a go of flying the aircraft. You will hace the chance to fly in powered aircraft and Gliders. At 16 you can go on a course and fly a glider solo. You get wings badge on your uniform. Then everybody knows 'that guys gone solo'. |
