One-time Beb Ath players who have gone down in history but are no longer active with the team - let us know if you have any information we could publish on this page.
Stephen Sarson
Stephen used his compensation money to found Beb Ath and has the pre-season trophy named after him. He is now working for an interview company and can be seen on-line at http://www.pinkfluffycloudmachine.com. He has created a new musical genre along with old chum and Beb Ath player Stuart 'Minnie' Muir.
Dawood Syed
Played as a sub in the first ever Beb Ath match and never appeared again! He apparently had no long socks and tried to play with pads over school socks but was sent off by the ref to get a proper pair. That was the state of Beb Ath in 1996! Dood is now in Edinburgh working for a biotechnology company.
Jon Muspratt
Jon has enrolled at top military academy Sandhurst to become 'officer material' but health problems have put things on hold for the time being, hopefully not too long though, since he was really enjoying it.
Glyn Jones
Glyn is a NQT DT teacher at a school on Deeside and really enjoying it. He is currently coaching the year 9 football team (boys).
Robin Lee
Robin is in Edinburgh finishing a PhD. He is the official - if self appointed - mascot of the team. |
Nostalgia Corner
A new feature of the site to cater for those old boys of WGS who pine for their school days and want to know what's going on there.
Mr Hall has gone off to be head of Calday so Mr Taws has become Deputy Head 2. The new head of sixth form is Mr. Askew (head of Bus Studs). Mr Yates and Ms Skyner have left and Mr Proctor is now head of Maths at Ridgeway. Mr Burrows retired a year ago. Mr Youd and BT are still here! The tech block is to be demolished later this year to build a new one on the staff car park. Mr Guy Rands has - it appears - been appointed deputy head at his new school. You can draw what lessons you like from this. Mrs Spears (ex head of art) is now head of art at Upton.

The exodus from WGS continues - the latest departures announced including Mike Briars, Dr. Workman and Mr Bell (going to Birkenhead School to be head of IT). Jo Heymans is not leaving after all but Ikky may still have a chance of returning if Michelle Sutton confirms her move to New Zealand.
