Our Mission
In an increasingly secular society it is important to recognise the spiritual, moral and religious dimensions of existence. There can be no doubting the extent of evil in the world and the need to repent and turn to a more godly and ethical lifestyle. It is difficult to provide a fully convincing basis for ethics and morality without some sort of religious foundation. With the real prospect of judgement after death there is an additional urgency to address the question of the salvation of souls and to recall our duty to witness to what is true.
This site has as its mission -
To promote faith in God
To witness to the truth
To encourage the worship of God
To call sinners to repentance
To develop interest in religious issues
To provide a holy place on the internet
To offer words of comfort
To be a resource for those seeking spiritual enlightenment
As an on-line church this site does not seek to challenge or substitute for real churches. Many authorities argue that genuine faith must be as part of a group of fellow believers; however, we recognise that some people are not ready or able to join such a fellowship and we hope that this site can offer them a starting point. Through history there have been those who have chosen to follow a solitary religious life as hermits; we would not wish to dismiss that choice as being of no spiritual value.
*affiliation should not be taken to imply agreement with the views expressed by the ULC or its individual members
