Baptism
Consider baptism or (if you were christened as a child) confirmation. Some traditions disapprove of infant baptism and belief that only fully consenting adults can be meaningfully baptised. While baptism in a real church is to be encouraged, there are a number of sites offering on-line baptism for those unable or unwilling to chose a traditional ceremony. One of these is www.alphachurch.org which also offers on-line services you can listen to, including Communion.

Ordination
 | Consider ordination as a minister - the ULC offers instant, free on-line ordination in accordance with the Biblical teaching of the priesthood of all believers. You should only proceed with ordination if you see this as a genuine affirmation of belief; doing it for frivolous reasons is to be discouraged.
The UCFM offers a more Christian ordination following a short but useful course. We also recommend St Luke Evangelical Christian Ministries which is a real church allied to the First International Church ofthe Web:

Monasticism
The Online Church of St. Isidore has a sister site offering the chance to join a virtual monastic order. You can seek spiritual peace and a disciplined approach to religion by visiting the virtual abbey and, if you wish, becoming a member. The site is: www.virtualmonastery.tk The Church of Seven Planes (an interfaith theistic church of the internet) runs a 'virtual monastery' called the Order of St. James. It will ordain you as a Monk or Lay Person if you agree to the vows of the order. |
Chivalric Order
You may wish to join a chivalric order. In medieval times knights took monastic vows to protect the Church and behave in a Christian manner to all people. Today it is possible to join a range of orders, some very exclusive and or expensive, others less so. There is an on-line order calleds the Virtual Order of St. Isidore of Seville devoted to Christian and Chivalric values. St. Isidore was Bishop of Seville and was known for his vast learning, hence his adoption as patron saint of the internet. The shield on the left is the insignia of a knight of the order. If you are interested in joining you can visit the site using the link below. If the membership form does not work there is a section on the Forum about what to do. |
Online Bible College
This site offers excellent free courses over the internet. |
ChristianCourse.com
 | This site offers a wide range of free, certificated, courses delivered online using multimedia techniques. |

Go on a Spiritual retreat
One way to find time to reflect is to visit a spiritual centre. A number of monasteries and other centres offer the chance to spend time there - either on an organised course or free to spend the time as you wish. You may be able to join in some monastic services and activities.
Belmont Abbey (Hereford) and Alton Abbey (Hants) offer retreats - the former is Catholic, the latter Anglican but anyone can attend. Another major location is Ampleforth Abbey in Yorkshire.
The web site below lists some possible retreats.
