TODD, DANIEL (II), MICHAEL (II), JOSEPH

Joseph played Steve Douglas, II; Michael played Charley Douglas; and Daniel played Robbie Douglas, Jr. from 1970 - 1972 on the TV series, My Three Sons. (Source: Houston Post, Sunday, 2/23/86.)
"Would you belive that the kids who starred as Robbie and Katie's triplets on TV's My Three Sons are alive and well and freshmen at the University of Houston?
Actor Don Grady, who protrayed Robbie Douglas, the boys' father, remembers working with the Todds. 'We has several sets of triplets,' he recalls, 'because the law says that you can only put a baby younger than six months under the lights for like 30 seconds at a time. So when Robbie and Katie first had them, we had half a dozen babies around the set so we could shift one with the other after 30 seconds. But the main triplets (that people remember) was the final set (the Todds)....
The Todd boys began working in front of various cameras at the age of two months. Even though they were a little too old to play newborns when the My Three Sons parts came open, they auditioned anyway and would have gotten the job had 8-month-old Joe not gotten up and started walking, their mother says.
But they were still the best set of blond, blue-eyed boy triplets around. Central casting remembers the Todds and eventually hired them for the show when the boys were 2-1/2 years old. Dan, Joe and Mike continued working until about two years ago, mainly in commercials--they drank lemonade, double-jumped for Double Mint gum, and chewed in unison for Mr. Steak, a West Coast restaurant chain. The Todds moved to Houston some years ago.
