Broadheath Bulls 5-6 Woodhouse Park

This was one of Broadheaths most exciting ever matches. Unfortunately they went in at half time 2-0 down. But with a fighting spirit, they came back in the second half to lead 4-2. Then they pulled one back. It was 4-3 but then Broaheath scored another. It was 5-3. A miraculous comeback. But then they started to relax, and it all fell apart. With 3 goals being scored in the dying minutes of the game. Broadheath had lost their first game of the season, to a newly promoted club.

Lymm Lions 5-4 Broadheath Bulls

Broadheath were straight into the game from the kick off. We scored 2 goals which were both disallowed in the opening minutes of the game. We were playing quite well but our one problem was the marking. Then suddenly they got a ball through to their attacker, who was unmarked in the box. He ran in at Tom Crawford and comfortably slotted the ball into the net. 1-0. Then we really started to get our act together. We scored 1 in . 1-1. But then it fell apart. We conceded 2 far apart from each other. 3-1. We went in at half time 3-1 down. Then we brought on our best forward. James Lewis. He came on and had an impact straight away. He drove through the right hand side of defence and crashed the ball into the net. 3-2. Then they got 1 back due to a poor defensive mistake. 4-2. Then James Lewis scored again, doing the same as before. Then we scored again, through James. It was 4-4. But then they scored for the last time, and we lost.

Mitchell 1, Lewis 3.

Broadheath Bulls 3-1 Sale United

Mitchell 2, Elliot 1.

We got straight on with the game and the back four was as solid as ever. A good result. We have picked up 6 points out of a possible 12 and we are hovering around mid table.

Oswald Road 2-1 Broadheath Bulls

Broadheath Bulls got off to a flying start with attacks straight from the off. Alex Coe was like fire on the right hand side before being substituted three quarters of the way through the first half. Stuart Thornton came on to replace him, and he got straight in like a rocket. He played some good passes into the middle leading up to a brilliant strike by James L which ended up as a goal. Then they came out in the second half and played some great football. Stuart Thornton inspired Broadheath by producing a few flick and runs and a fantastic tackle, and even got off a shot before disaster struck. Stuart ran into the Bulls box to defend when he flicked it up onto James Cox's hand. A certain penalty. But the penalty was missed. What a relief. We got back on top of our game for a great deal of time until the last 5 minutes. They scored a disastrous goal which Tom Crawford fumbled and they had an open net. Of course they scored. 1-1. We desperately fought for the lead until we were caught in attack. Some might say it was the refs fault for saving his breath until the goal. However they managed to clear and they got off on goal. They easily slotted the ball past Crawford. Final Score was 2-1. The bogey team had won again.

Lewis 1

Broadheath Bulls 1-4 AFC Meds

Today was terrible for Broadheath. They had missed the players who couldn't play and never looked like they were going to score. Meadowside got off to a flying start. Scoring was going to be hard for both teams as most of the play was in the midfield. Both teams had a couple of chances and then Meds put the ball in the back of the net from a corner. The second and fourth were quite normal goals, however the third was a different matter. We knew that the front two were very eager to score goals. In fact they were probably the most eager in the league. They both jostled for the ball whilst making a run, then one of them had a shot which was driven into the post by the other. However they still managed to score with a different person from the rebound. We received a penalty for handball which Jake scored with ease but then they had already won the game. Final Score 1-4.

MacCann 1(pen)
