A new Chapter of the ever expanding BMF (Business Men’s Fellowship) will open in Wirral soon. Organiser and Wirral Businessman, Iain Ogilvie, (currently a member of the Wigan BMF), said today..... “The BMF is a growing organisation of businessmen from all church denominations who meet monthly, usually at dinner meetings. At these dinner meetings men can encourage each other by sharing how God has worked in their lives and businesses. These monthly dinners are open to all regardless of denomination. Although a ‘mens’ organisation, women are also encouraged to come and enjoy the evening and play a crucial role in the organisation; we do not discriminate - all are welcome to attend.”
BMF has groups (or chapters) in many towns and cities across the UK and Overseas. New Chapters have opened recently in Sunderland, Airdrie and Preston. The work of the chapters extend as far as USA, South America, Canada, Europe and Eastern Europe, A ‘men’s weekend’ before Christmas in Aberfoyle, Scotland was attended by men from BMF in UK, Poland, Ukraine, Latvia and Siberia.
The group has appointed a president and secretary and has four ordinary members. A treasurer is still to be appointed and the chapter will be started when this post is filled. The organisers expect to start regular dinner meetings throughout 2003 and the inaugural dinner meeting is planned for 13th May in the Village Hotel in Bromborough.
