Hi, love Ashton Park and my young Son loves it too. Can the toilets be opened at times when the kids are let out of school as some of us Mums have had mad dashes home with desparate children. A friend and I have set up a blog about Sale and there is a write up about Ashton Park if you would care to take a peek. The address is http://thewordonsale.blogspot.com It invites people to comment about the park. We have also set up a link so that people can go straight to your site to take a look at what you have on offer.

Hi, I'm Mike, you have probably seen me around the last couple of months, I am the new Head Gardener of Ashton Park and am just as keen to improve the park as the Friends of the Park are. I have got lots of ideas which hopefully you will see come to fruition very soon.... If you see me in the park, stop and say hello and any feedback will be much appreciated. Mike

Spent many happy years at 108 Churchlane and St Martins. Loved the park then and recognize a couple of faces amongst the volunteers. Good to see the spirit of Ashton alive and well. Wish I was home. Jack

I was really interested to read about the Friends of the Park, as l played there a lot in the 60s, it was me and my siblings favourite places to go. I remember it as a great place to play, we would stay there all day long. Keep all the good work, it really nice to think of the park being saved and looked for all generations to use and enjoy.

I have started working part time in the local United Reformed Church in Ashton and am glad to be finding out about green spaces in the area as part of my community work. Please get in touch with us at the church and we hope to support the events going on locally at the park. Are there other similar organisations in the area? I think there is a similar group who have attended Sale Area Board and are concerned about a green space in Sale. Perhaps there could be mutual support or some joint thinking and activities going on?
