 | Who are The Seals? The Macclesfield Seals Swimming Club is for all people with disabilities; any disability, any age - children and adults. Club sessions are staffed by qualified life guards, and all participants are closely supervised by club helpers, if necessary on a “one-to-one” basis. When do we meet? The Seals meet every Friday evening, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm at the Leisure Centre Pool, Priory Lane, Macclesfield. There are several bays for disabled parking and good access for people with wheelchairs or walking aids. There is also a pool-side chair hoist to help people who have mobility problems to enter and leave the water with ease and dignity. What will it cost me? Absolutely nothing. There is no club membership fee, and admission to the pool, together with all supervision and instruction is completely free of charge. There are no hidden costs. Learning to swim. Many of our members past and present have learned to swim with the Seals Club, helped by the club’s specially trained teachers. Some of our members have even attained their mile certificate. Learning to swim is encouraged - but it is not at all compulsory! Other Social Events In addition to our regular Friday evening swimming, there are also other events organized, such as social evenings, cabarets, discos etc.; again mostly free of charge. How do I find out more? For further details contact Ron (Chairman) or Wendy (Secretary) at the pool on club nights, or phone 01625 611789
