Mayfield are arguably cheshire's finest fuel injected indie band. Based in South/Mid cheshire, the band formerly known as The Cool Handsare back under the new name of Mayfield after having taken a little time out following a sucessful time on the circuit; Playing regularly Manchesters finest venues; Boardwalk, Hacienda, Roadhouse, Night & Day, Band on the Wall and the Star & Garter. Original members David Kelly, Robert Thrower and Antony Jenks are joined by new drummer Ian Statton, who is also no stranger to the scene after once drumming for Tim Burgess in the Electric Crayons. NEW YORK!! Back with some powerfull new material Mayfield play a Special one off show case at Gregorys night club Nantwich on Tuesday 17th July 2001. The night promises to see Mayfield explode back onto the local scene following an amazing trip to New York where the band recently played at the famous C Note in the East Village and at a recent central park festival. On the 17th July Mayfield are joined on the bill by 2 promising DJ's Marcus Harriman and Paul Warhurst.
