A Record, a record, a record, a..........
2003 surpassed our previous record year for attendances, and on 20th November 2004 - we quietly passed even THAT record !
Well done to all the members who came and did what they enjoy most!THEN..... in 2005, we passed that record by a fair degree - we can't go on like this, can we???
Oh yes we can... 2006 was yet another record year - and there's just a possibility that we might make another record in 2007.
.....and guess what ? We did! 2007 has seen more people shooting with us than any previous year - by a long chalk.
In 2006 we passed the 1,000 mark, but we exceeded that by well over a 100 in 2007. Perhaps, if the Geoffrey Place Range takes off, we can exceed even the 2007 figure? It would be tough 'though to follow such a successfull year as 2007.
And now, in November 2008, we've AGAIN passed the record of last year - this is beginning to sound like a stuck record (pardon the pun!) - and we've still got well over a month to go.

The Geoffrey Place Range
On 27th February, 2008, we had the official opening ceremony of the Geoffrey Place Range at Mostyn House School.
It was opened by Valerie Place, the widow of Dr Geoffrey Place.
Dr Place was the president of the Preparatory Schools Rifle Association and taught at Mostyn Hoose School, and during the dark days following 1997 he did much to keep the sport alive in schools generally.
We'd like to publicly thank everyone who has supported us, who has given us donations towards the costs of conversion, and who has given so freely of their time and expertise to work on the conversion.
