At the moment, Ilana plays a natural wood, Stage Custom Yamaha kit and Zildjian cymbals. She studies the martial art of Jujitsu and the teachings of the Samurai. Her background is in jazz, but she loves to play anything, and her influences span from Buddy Rich, Madonna, Sheryl Crow, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, to Skunk Anansie.
KATE COOK is a lecturer in law at Manchester Metropolitan University and has lived in Sale for most of her life. Kate has a classical music background and played viola in school, but preferred The Beatles and The Buzzcocks. She plays a Steinberger Spirit 5-string bass in Pink Houses. She is left-handed, but plays right-handed guitar. Kate also does voluntary work for Truth About Rape and the Campaign to End Rape.
RHONA MARTINEZ grew up in Leeds and now lives in Manchester's City Centre. Her main keyboard is a Roland XP-10, but she often plays two keyboards onstage. Rhona is an Oxfam volunteer and has a Pop Music degree from Salford University. She plays keyboards in Irish-country band, The New Exiles and is also a church organist. Rhona counts The Doors, Pink Floyd, and The Pet Shop Boys as influenes. She once played with Relics, a Floyd tribute band.
ANNIE MUSE was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan and moved to South Manchester in 2000. She plays a 1984 Fender Strat, a Westfield SR-383 electro-acoustic, and a 2002 Gibson ES-335 called "Gretchen." Annie loves Matt Groening cartoons, and wants to be Mark Knopfler when she grows up. Annie has been playing music since age seven and is a guitar and bass tutor. She also does voluntary work for New Way Forward, a local mental-health agency. |
