ABOUT OUR CLUB
Formed in 1946, and playing at Hough End Fields on Princess Road, Withington, Wythenshawe Town was originally known as North Withington FC, but was eventually re-named in 1987 after a few seasons at their new ground in Wythenshawe which was named Ericstan Park as a tribute to Eric Reynard and Stan ------- who were prime movers in the club's early days.

After a long period in the Lancashire and Cheshire League the club joined the Manchester League in 1974 and the Wythenshawe Town Football Club senior section now has two teams in the Manchester League and one in the Wythenshawe Sunday League.

The club also operates a thriving junior section which plays in the Timperley Junior League and is an FA Charter Standard Club.

NEW FACES!
For season 2005-2006, a number of new faces appeared at Town as new first team manager Pat Kelly and assistant Tom Bancroft joined us after two successful seasons running Timperley Taverners in the Altrincham Saturday League winning the League Challenge Cup both seasons and picking up the prestigious Altrincham Senior Cup at Moss Lane in May 2005. The vastly experienced Dave Norman has also joined us to complete the first eleven management team.

The majority of the former Taverners players signed for Town and together with the exisiting Town players who remained, the playing squad was given a boost which benefitted the club, taking them within a whisker of promotion to the premier division and to the semi-finals of the Murray Shield competition.

This site will gradually be expanded to include weekly results, fixtures, goalscorers, etc. as the season progresses - so watch this space!
