Warrington Phoenix in Edinburgh
 | Warrington Phoenix Drum and Trumpet Corps paraded in the 30th annual cavalcade to mark the start of the Festival season in Edinburgh. The 2005 cavalcade took place on Sunday 7th August and 34 members of Warrington Phoenix paraded from Market Street, over Waverley Bridge, along Princes Street into Lothian Road and finished at the end of Castle Terrace.
The cast of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo led the parade followed by 3000 participants from Festival Fringe Shows, Community Groups, Commercial Floats and bands from all over the world. Over 175.000 spectators watched the cavalcade.
The Warrington band played traditional trumpet and drum music throughout the entire length of the parade and also achieved a very high level of presentation. Warrington Phoenix members enjoyed the day and benefited from all the hard practice work they put in to make the performance a success. Future parades are planned in the UK, and a return visit to Edinburgh in 2006 is eagerly awaited.
