Applications for Membership to the Warrington Sea Angling Societ
|Our first trip for June was a tope trip with Anthony Parry's Boat JENSEN sailing from Rhyl.
The weather plays a big part of sea angling and on this trip it was no exception. It had been raining solid for two days prior to our trip, filling the Dee estuary with fresh water (not required when trying to catch sea fish) although the going was slow some tope were eventually caught.
Steve Faulkner produced two tope - his best 16lb , Shaun Thomas' Tope 24lb and Alan
Hilton's at 27lb 8oz the best in the club so far this year, all were taken on frozen Ammo Mackerel as the summer mackerel haven't arrived. Other species on the trip a nice Tub Gurnard by John Eaton, 2lb Flounder by Glen
Woodward and dabs by all.
