For under eights, those with special needs and their families
Wednesday and Friday 10a.m. – 2.15p.m.
Come to our toy library at The Toy House and see our "Aladdin’s cave" of toys. Choose anything from rattles to more advanced construction and electronic toys, audiocassettes and videos or from our wide selection of special needs toys many of which are adapted for children and young adults with a specific need.
The toy library is available to all children under eight, anyone from birth with special needs and their families, carers and professionals living or working in the trafford area. There is a minimal annual subscription/membership fee and toys may be borrowed for up to a month for a small hire charge per item.
An outreach service is available for some groups and certain individuals.
Rainbow Band
Saturdays during term time between 10.00 and 11.00a.m.

All children can enjoy music, so why not join us in the Rainbow Room at the Toy House for ‘music and fun’. We sing old and new songs and play along using our collection of simple instruments.
No music ability necessary, just a desire to enjoy yourselves in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Every other week we have a special music therapy teacher attend the sessions.
Rainbow Link Group
£1 per family session Wednesday, 10a.m. – 12 noon

The Link Group meets in the Rainbow Room at the Toy House. We cater for under fives including those with special needs and their parents/carers.
During term time parents and Carers can get together for a chat while the children play or do supervised creative activities. It’s a very relaxing atmosphere with drinks and toast provided by one of our helpers. Toy library facilities are usually available during link sessions.
We open during some of the school holidays when we are often joined by our older children. In the summer holidays, weather permitting, we meet at local venues or maybe go for a picnic in the park
