ETTA Tournament Regulations apply for this tournament.
No player shall be eligible for this Tournament unless he or she has played at least 3 matches organised and controlled by the League prior to the Tournament closing date.
Event numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7 may be run on a group system. All other events shall be on a knockout basis, the result to be obtained by playing the best of 5 games. All games shall be 11 up.
In the event of a tie within any group the final positions within the group shall be determined on the basis of games, and if necessary points, for and against.
Events with less than 10 entries may be subject to cancellation by the Tournament Committee.
All matches to be controlled by an umpire whose decision shall be final on a point of law.
All players shall be prepared to play when indicated. Players absent when called upon shall be scratched.
No player may be permitted to substitute another player in his or her stead.
Competitors in the Junior events must have been born after 1st January 1987, Cadet events after 1st January 1990 and under 13 events after 1st January 1992.
Competitors in the Veterans event must have been born on or before 1st January 1965.
All losing players are expected to umpire the next match on their vacated table.
ETTA rules on gluing up will be enforced.
In the event of any questions or query arising, not provided for in these Regulations, or any disputes in the interpretation thereof, the decision of the Referee shall be binding.
Finals of events 1,2,3,4,8,9,10 and 11 shall be played on Thursday 3rd February 2005 at the League Headquarters, Arrowe Park commencing at 7.30pm. Spectators are very welcome.
Cheques and Postal Orders should be made out to the "Wirral Table Tennis League".
FINAL DATE FOR RECEIPT OF ENTRIES IS SATURDAY 22ND JANUARY 2005. The draw will be made on Monday 24th January.
NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE.
