Where the heck is Bridport ??? Directions to the ground.

Bridport is a small market town in West Dorset. For those of you not familiar with the area, it is 15 miles West of Dorchester, the County town.

Bridport FC play at St Mary's Field which is less than a mile from the town centre. Directions to the ground are as follows:-

FROM THE WEST (Honiton):- Follow the bypass (A35) until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit and at the traffic lights (200 yards) turn left. The ground is 50 yards on your right.

FROM THE NORTH (Yeovil/Beaminster):- At the first roundabout (by the Gore Cross Business Park) follow the signs for Bridport. Carry on this road passing a Vauxhall garage and the Co-Op both on the left. At the next roundabout follow the A35 Honiton road. At the next roundabout take the fourth exit, and go 200 yards to the traffic lights. Turn left and the ground is 50 yards on your right.

FROM THE EAST (Dorchester). At the first roundabout follow the A35 Honiton road. At the next roundabout take the fourth exit and go 200 yards to the traffic lights. Turn left and the ground is 50 yards on your right.

FROM THE SOUTH-EAST (Weymouth)Follow the B3157 to the first roundabout. Take the third exit and go 200 yards to the traffic lights, Turn left and the ground is 50 yards on your right.

FROM THE TOWN CENTRE. It's easier to walk following the Riverside Walk signs to the Long Stay Car Park. If you must drive, from the T Junction by Boots follow the sign for West Bay (South Street). At the traffic lights after 600 yards (Morrisons on your left) it's a right turn. The ground is 50 yards on the right.

The club car park is now officially designated as a long stay car park! There are AA signs directing you at the approaches to the town although none mention Bridport FC by name
