Never mind was it Bill or was it Ben !!!!!

More important is it with or is it without.
At last I have finally found out there is NO (E) in Crabb
Atleast in my Family tree, the problem is that my Great great grandfather, moved to Swansea from Dorset around 1892/5.
When my Great grandfather married he used an E on his Certificate.
Hre's where the problem begins, there are those who have and E and those who don't. then there are those who think they have and those who think they don't.
My great grandfather thought he did and confusion ruled for many years, until a breakthrough. Firstly in the form of the 1901 Census. As until this was made available it was only a romour that the family came from somewhere down south.
Then proof was needed in the form of a marriage or death certificate or a headstone on a grave. Problem was without evidence of the (e) factor it was prooving difficult.
Then finally in an old dissused graveyard, the chapel of which is now a child's nursery "that's enterprise for you" In the far corner a headstone with all that was needed.
John Henry Crabb brn 1888 Netherbury Dorset. Also        Mary Hannah Crabb "nee Jones" brn 1889 Swansea
Also Second wife Charlotte Emma "Can't imagine what those two find to talk about on long cold winter nights"
This has now taken me back to the 1820's. So if you have an interest in or have any information on the following please help an ageing man finally put the last link on my mothers side of the family to rest.
