My paternal Grandmother,Gertrude Budden ( nee Adams) pictured above , was the daughter of Harry Charles Adams, a Bricklayer and Eliza ( nee:Newling). In 1901, the family were at 12, Wycliffe Road, Winton,Bournemouth.

In 1861,Harry and his older brother John were with their parents at Broadoak Common, Sturminster Newton.
In 1881, Harry was still with his parents at Dennetts Lane in Poole as follows:

John was the John Mason Adams who married Sarah Adams on 10/11/1858 in Sturminster Newton.
John's occupation was given as a Draper.

Sarah was the daughter of Charles Adams,( a publican in Okeford Fitzpain when she married) and Mary Ann( nee Pethen).

John was baptised on 5/8/1830 in Sturminster Newton, the son of Charles and Susanna.
I have found the marriage for Charles Adams and Susannah Mason on 28/7/1823 in Purton,Wiltshire.Witnesses were William Hillyer and Sarah Lewis.

The known children of Charles Adams and Susannah are John Mason, Elizabeth ( who married Thomas Cross)and Philip Charles ( Pictured above) who was born c1824 in Wildburn,Hampshire.
Philip was a Farmer and moved to Folke in Dorset where he died in 1900.
Charles Adams was baptised on 17/3/1793 in Sturminster Newton and died aged 40 in 1833. His parents were Philip and Hannah( nee:Dun)

The uniformed men pictured here with Gertrude and her Husband and son are believed to include at least one of her brothers.
