Howe/Waterditch
Hello, from Texas.I am looking for any information on the RICHARD AND ELIZABETH HOWE FAMILY.They lived in Waterditch and Christchurch,in the 1800's.They had several children,Henry,James,Sarah born 1835,Maria born in 1841,Mary?Elizabeth was born in 1812.In 1881 she lived in Christchurch.Henry married ?but I do know of 2 of his children, one was Alma Frances, and Olive,1902 and 1900.Olive married a Turner and lived in Bridgwater, and ran an inn I think it was.It was called "BOCKHAMPTON HOUSE."On the business card it said something about cyclists. It was at 120 Bristol Road. She had 4 children,Betty,Vera,Howard.Dorothy.Alma died in 1987.Maria worked at a manor house for the Binghams? She was 14.Around 1855.
Do not know what she did after that did she get married?Do not know anything of her until 1873 when she and her sister Mary came to the United States, she was 32.Never to return I don't think. The rest of the family was going to come but one of the boys was sick and when he got well they would follow never did.It is just bits and pieces.I am just throwing out everything I can in hope some of the family still exists. And still lives in the same area...Thank you so much.
