Club meetings 2008

The main club activity is the monthly club meeting held at The Liberal Hall, Blandford Road, Hamworthy Poole. Meetings start at 7pm on the first Monday of the month. Entry to the meetings is free and is open to anyone interested. Non members are welcome to attend the meetings and we are always pleased to give advice on the dating and history of bottles and other items. At each meeting there are different display categories and members display items from their collections as well as items recently found or purchased. The table below shows the meeting dates for 2008 and the competition categories for each month. The following categories are the same each month:
Class 4 Best dug item
Class 5 Best bought item
Class 6 Sad finds (broken or damaged items)

Competition Rules
1. The LOCAL AREA has been defined to include the following towns along the boundary; Portland, Weymouth, Dorchester, Sherborne, Gillingham, Salisbury, Romsey, Lymington (Isle of Wight Excluded)
2. Members may enter all the classes each month
3. A maximum of 2 entries per class will be allowed
4. Each entrant will receive only 2 points for entering a class irrespective of the number of entries made in that class.
5. Winners oof each class will receive a certificate.
6. Points awarded are as follows: 1st 10 2nd 6 3rd 4 .
7. At the end of each year a trophy will be awarded to the person with the most points in each class, and a trophy will also be awarded to the overall winner of the 7 classes.
8. Entries will close at 8.45pm when members start voting.
