Poole show May 7th 2006
 | | The Poole show took place on Sunday May 7th 2006 . The show was very well supported by club members and other stallholders, but the overall attendance was down on previous years despite having 3 display ads in the local paper the week before. As always though, as at any show ,there were quality items on offer as well as a good selection of reasonably priced dug and other items from local stallholders who only do one show per year. The picture above shows a selection of coloured lip codds on one dealers stall, I've been to large shows and not seen that many in total! Shown below is a view of the main hall . |

Advertising Items display
 | The club's main display this year was local advertising items. Although we did not have the quantity of items to choose from compared to some previous years, the display still contained some rare and interesting items. Dwarfed by the large sign from Mews were several rare items from my collection including the blue top Price made Edward Gayton, Southampton whiskey, a match striker from Bournemouth Mineral water makers Bedford & Burniston, a bird feeder from Hygiene Mineral Water company of Tuckton, Bournemouth and a Victorian pub tankard from the Criterion which was in Old Christchurch Road , Bournemouth opposite the Arcade.
Overall a successful show despite the reduced attendance, thanks to everyone who made the effort to be there.
