Introduction To Dorset Long Distance Walkers Association Group

The Dorset LDWA group is one of many local groups that are part of the national UK Long Distance Walkers Association (see www.ldwa.org.uk web site if you wish to find out about other local LDWA groups).

The Dorset Group activities include:

*A social Walks programme. Normally one per month on a Sunday, distance 15 to 25 miles according to season/climatic conditions with a pub lunch. Walks could be anywhere in Dorset or adjoining counties.

* We organise and put on our own challenge walks and take part in ones organised by other LDWA groups. See the events challenge walk section at www.ldwa.org.uk for details.

* Occasional bunkhouse weekends, cycle rides & other social events.
