1st team thro' to Senior Cup quarters- Res's lose but ba
The first team played host to West Quay Marina in last 16 of Dorset Senior Cup. Not much was known of them, apart from the fact they were top of Dorset 1.
In a evenly matched first half WQ took the lead after 30 mins with a shot our standin keeper Shane Boon stood no chance with. We equalized through Gary Pidgely within 5 mins and at half time it was all square.
WQ went ahead straight the from the restart and we looked in trouble until Bonus was brought down in the box and the WQ player sent off. Jamular put the pen away and our 11 pinned WQ in their own half for the rest of the match. Johnny Armour and Darren both scored to put us 4-2 up. WQ got a penalty in the dying seconds. Man of Match Danny Oliver. Final score 4-3
Parley or Longfleet St. Marys in the last eight.
The reserves were away to Redhill and with a few new signings playing took some time to settle. At half time were 3-0 down, but with a inspirational James Giles team talk at the break, came out and drew the second half 1-1 with Gavin Hastie scoring on his debut. The reserves squad are just getting to know one another and with a little luck can gain some points in second half of the season. Man of Match Phil Pritchett
