Match reports 16/09/01

TOP OF THE LEAGUE MA!!!
The first team convincingly beat last years Premier Division champions Charminster Saints 3-0 with goals by strike partners Nick Phillips (2) and Lee Bellows (1)
Despite Lee missing a first half penalty, he made amends a few minutes later with a cracking goal from the edge of the area. 10 minutes later Nick, latching onto a thro ball from Lee, gave the Saints keeper no chance with a carbon copy of the 1st goal.
The game was wrapped up 10 minutes from time, when Nick finished off a good move, slotting in from 6 yards.
The whole team did well, especially the Manager, Andy Smith who refereed the game impeccably.

The reserves, despite only having 9 players, against the Shoulder of Muttons.......... 9 players( so it was an even game!!)
won by a convincing 9 goals to 2. Leading the scorers with 4 was Leigh Bailey-Pearce (Man of Match), new signing Matt Jewison 2, Michael Walton 1, Matt Watts 1 and James Saffin 1
Well done to reserves manager James Giles who had to ref. the game as well as doing everything else.
