Away to the Ocean and having played them twice at home and lost both the away trip was going to be a tough game.
First leg and Keith Bate leading the way with (19), Mark Healey bowling well (18), Pat Butcher again scoring steady (17) and finally Lionel Sterry (18). An excellent first leg of 72, all players bowling well and a 2 pin advantage gained.

Second leg Beryl Merton leading the way bowling very well (19), Phyllis Johnson continuing her good form (17), Chris Stocker too bowling well matching his highest score for the second week running (19) and John Miles recovering well after a 2 to start (16). Another 71 scored but the ocean pulled the 2 back so it was all square going into the last leg (again).

Last leg Fred Perkins nice and steady (17) Lorraine Perkins a little unlucky (14), Andy Sterry reliable as ever (18) and finally redge slade (17). A total of 66 unfortunately not being able to score in the 70's for the final leg was the difference with the ocean scoring 70 and winning by 4 pins.
A better team performance and a closer game than most had expected.
