Newport Scouts
 Welcome to Newport District Scouts.
We are situated in South Wales in the area formerly known as Gwent. The District has 17 groups which includes Sea Scout and Air Scout troops. We hope this site will provide information for Scouts from the Newport District and the rest of the world.

Our commitment to the youth of Newport is stronger than ever and I hope this site with its information shows how the Scout movement in Newport has kept apace with technology and the internet.
Scouting in the 21st. century still has appeal to young people. With its mix of traditional scouting skills and the newer multi-media interests we hope that scouting in the district will continue to "Serve the Youth of Newport" while still maintaining the original aims of the Scout Association.
I know that this growth would not have been possible without the commitment of our leaders and helpers and the progressive attitude of the District Team. In a modern world where spare time is a valuable commodity our adult leaders unselfishly give their time freely.
