Old Ts Throw it away Again
OLD Ts visited Cwmcarn on their opening league game of the season. They came away with a loss of 17 - 13 which should easily have been 13 - nil to the old ts as they gifted 3 tries to a young cwmcarn side. Old Ts pack dominated the game and if not for the silly mistakes and some wrong options taken then this game would have been easily won by the visitors.
Neil Evans in the 2nd row was a good source of line out ball and kevin Mitchell and captain Martyn Reader were good nuisance value around the park from the back row.
Behind the scrum the backs looked rusty but some good defence from cwmcarn saw them denied on a number of occassions.
this game was an improvement on the friendly the week before against Newbridge United when Newbridge totally dominated a half strength Old Tylerians
Ts entertain Pontllanfraith Seconds in the league next saturday report to the club at 1.00pm saturday. |
