The 2nd Chineham Guides are a relatively large unit based in Chineham, near Basingstoke. The group mainly consists of Guides, aged between 10 and 14, and we also have 2 'Young Leaders' and 2 Guiders to help keep everything running smoothly.
The unit meets on a Wednesday night between 7 and 9pm at the Chineham Village Hall. We have a varied programme of events throughout the three school terms including the 'Go for it!' challenges based around themes such as chocolate or football, patrol activities such as crafts, dancing or quizzes, and sometimes we even take on the other guide units in our area in informal sports competitions such as the Rounders and the Football tournaments against the 1st Chineham Guides. (both of which we won!!!) There are also two division camps which all guides are eligible to attend, one weekend camp during the beginning of July and a longer week camp in August.
