Andover Round Table

Andover Round Table was formed in 1949 and we celebrated our 50th Charter (anniversary) in November 1999. Parties are one thing that Tablers do well. Whether it be a locally organised event, or the national conference, you can be sure that attendance will be well worth it. The Andover Round Table 50th Charter Night was no exception. Our guest speaker was Gordon Banks, one of England's greatest footballing heroes.

Andover Round Table normally meet on the second, fourth and fifth Thursdays of the month. Our regular meeting place is the Weyhill Fair, near Andover, although the Diary for the coming year will see us visit lots of other venues. We normally meet at 19:30 and aim to sit down to dinner at 20:00. Dinner is accompanied by a few drinks, whether this be the excellent 'Real Ales' supplied by the Weyhill Fair, or the Ales and fine wines provided by the other venues visited. Meetings could occasionally be described as 'boisterous', but always be described as fun! The most important thing to remember is that we meet to enjoy ourselves with the friends that we have made. Many lifelong friendships have been formed as a result of meeting through Round Table. Whilst most of these will occur in the local neighbourhood, friends can be made throughout the region, the country and even in other countries or continents. Round Table affords you the introduction.

There are currently fourteen members of Andover Round Table. In addition, there are countless past members who may, from time to time, join us at meetings. Whilst these ex-members are now considered too old for continued membership of our club, they remain close friends and are always welcome at meetings.
